We might need to get out of the city ASAP...People fighting over things like food and supplies is just not cool and we are afraid of getting robbed.
I will keep you updated if I can...send some good vibes our way and we will do the same
Now let me just say that I live in a very mellow and safe neighborhood and none of the violence, vandalism and other craziness has reached us yet but if it does I have a plan:
If things get horrible we are taking all of the dogs (and Cats, Ferrets etc) to my parents house in the mountains....and people for that matter. They have a pretty big piece of land and are willing to take us all in.
The thought of having to flee the city is so scary but I have a bag packed and am ready to go.
I actually have neighbors who are considering going back to Mexico. I bet we never thought we would see the day where immigrants would be fleeing back to their native countries........
Call 1-202-225-0100 (The Speaker of the House Office) and simply say you want to register you support for impeachment. They will say thank you and you'll feel better all day.
This is as close as we have gotten to getting the democrats to do what needs to be done to preserve the integrity of democratic system in this country."
Things are really bad with Ben right now. I think I just need to be single for awhile:(
I cant believe gas is already up to over $4.50 a gallon!!! I wonder how cheapskate Ben is going to fill up the tank on his Vespa? I guess he's lucky he doesn't have a car. I'm not going to be driving mine any time soon.
Its probably also time to start planting that tomato garden I'm always talking about.
I joined wordwithoutoil.org so I can at least feel like I'm doing *something* instead of always talking about doing something (like the tomato garden).
So stay tuned for further updates.....
ALSO!
Everyone needs to go to:www.regulations.gov
and check out DHS 2006 0030 Its regarding the "Real ID" that the government is proposing. You can leave a comment!!!
"Each card must include, at a minimum, the person's full legal name, signature, date of birth, gender, driver's license or identification card number. It also includes a photograph of the person's face and the address of principal residence. It is required to have physical security features designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for fraudulent purposes.
It will use common machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements (the details of which are not spelled out, but left to the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of Transportation and the states, to regulate).
Before a card can be issued, the applicant must provide the following documentation[3]:
- A photo ID, or a non-photo ID that includes full legal name and birthdate.
- Documentation of birthdate.
- Documentation of legal status and Social Security number
- Documentation showing name and principal residence address.
Digital images of each identity document will be stored in each state DMV database."
